"Excellent accommodation, excellent breakfast, very good location" 19 April 2011
Beautifully renovated barn, high standard of fittings. Very comfortable beds with egyption cotton bedding and feather quilts. Very reasonably priced. Ideal central village location with eating establishments near by. Beautiful country walks easily accessible.
"Recommended withut hesitation" 24 Feb 2011
We have just spent two nights at the Old Barn. Lynda is an excellent host with attention to detail ensuring guests get individual and first class attention. Her knowlegde of the local area area make a guide book/maps unnecessary - they are all there anyway for guests to use. Breakfasts are excellent and we found we did not need anything.
"Best stop along the Pennine Way" 18 Oct 2010We used a variety of accommodation whilst on our walk along the Pennine Way. We considered this to be the best. Very warm welcome received. Tea/coffee and cake provided on arrival. Whilst we had this, Lynda sat and chatted with us, giving details of all the local eating places, which were located only yards away. The rooms were excellent and in pristine condition. Good breakfast provided.
Highly Recommended" 4 Oct 2010
This is a newly re-furbished B&B accommodation in a beautiful location. No expense has been spared on the quality of fixtures and fittings with very comfortable beds, magnificent bathrooms with power showers and plenty of storage space.
Lynda the owner was very accommodating to every request and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was first class and for four guys walking the Pennine Way it was the best accommodation we had during the week.
"Exceptionally Excellent Quality and Value" 27 Sep 2010
Every detail has been carefully created to provide the very best for every aspect of our stay, yet in an unfussy, unobtrusive way. The location for an evening's stroll around Middleton, with a choice of eating places within a few steps is fantastic, yet it is peacefully set in a courtyard for a great night's undisturbed sleep, awaking to bird awaking to bird song. The bed was superbly comfortable. Excellent TV reception; Biscuits supplied with the tea/coffee; quality foods generously supplied for breakfast. Kind and thoughtful ... Couldn't have wished for more.
